Pillowcase Messages

If you're apart from your significant other for any length of time, you start searching for ways to keep the memory of your relationship foremost in your partner's mind. What better way than on a custom pillowcase? Each night, they'll be reminded of you and your affection. There are many ways to create a custom pillowcase…and they are ALL extremely easy.

To get started you will need at least some of the items below, depending on how you decide to customize your pillowcase.

• fabric paint
• fabric paint pens
• fabric spray paint
• stencils
• stamps
• iron-on transfer printer paper
• cardboard piece that can fit inside the pillowcase

If you want to transfer a picture of yourself, or maybe of you both together, you will need to follow the directions given with the iron-on transfer paper. Remember, typically you will need to wash any item before transferring to it. This is also true for fabric paint.

IDEAS FOR COMPLETION:

When you have your tools ready, and your picture transferred, slip the pillowcase over the cardboard piece to avoid having the fabric paint show through on the back of the pillowcase.

You can use the stamps to stamp heart or kiss images along the side of the pillowcase or around your picture.

Use the spray paint with the stencils to create a more even coloring.

Write little love messages or quotes with a fabric marker pen. You can have your picture on one side, and the love messages on the other. One idea is to include the words "I love you" in various languages.

Remember, you are only limited by your imagination!
